I think it's the so called open enrollment that Judson ISD implemented that is under scrutiny here. Regardless, it may all be moot as I think there's a good chance the season goes unfinished.

So what happens now? Do all transfers go back to their old schools? Will they just not play? I know the season is in doubt, but just in case it’s played

History repeats itself. 30 years or so ago we had the same kerfluffle over Jerod Douglas. I'm surprised that it took the district committee members that long to make the ruling. As far as 1604 goes, I hate to drive it to the Stone Oak area any work day when we have medical appointments in the AM.

I think there was a lot more to this story than just moving to shorten the drive. The UIL would not have voted unanimously (same as the DEC) if that's all there was to it. I heard that he enrolled at Holy Cross and practiced today. He will be a man among boys in that league.

Brandeis doesn't have notoriety that Judson has throughout the state. Wish both young men good luck in the coming season. They would have added to Judson's offense tremendously, but it is what it is with UIL and other district schools. Could be a little more incentive for the Rockets' players.

But between Brandeis and Holy Cross?? I’ll take the Broncos!

He was pretty much out of luck there and private schools were his only options left. He could have picked Cornerstone but he would have been out at QB there. The fact that he picked HC tells me that he wants to play QB still.

Without those two players, the Rockets will probably do okay and squeak into the playoffs.

in actuality, judson lost four players when you consider the two starting DBs that transferred over to Cornerstone. But I still have Judson winning the district. Steele will have to suffer another season under the dreadful Coach Saenz and Clemens will have something to say about it. Wagner looked pretty bad in their scrimmage against Brennan.
