Rockets travel to play the Unicorns. Rockets beat San Marcos last week for the their 500th win in school history in 58 years of playing football. Against NB the Rockets will be looking to extend their Texas state record of consecutive winning seasons. NB has played Judson close at times in the past, but Rockets offense will be too much for the Unicorns. Judson by 28+

Clemens may test the Rockets a little, but I fully expect the Rockets to go unbeaten in district. Does anyone know if Brandeis will be D2. It seems they always are so I figured their enrollment is lower then the other usual playoff teams from their district. They may be the only San Antonio team that I would say could beat the Rockets. If they are D2 then Steele/Clemens are in trouble.

yeah, i can't see how steele avoids WL in the first round. i'm not sure how that could be avoided. also, with the loss of jackson, likely for the year, steele could lose two more district games and not make the playoffs at all. i would expect them to just lose to SV but one can never tell with steele nowadays. as for the judson/NB game, i think the unicorns hang for a bit but judson winds up winning pretty big.

Too many errors for the Unicorns to even have a chance. Oh well. At least my expectations for the season were already crushed when NB lost to East Central... on to Lehnhoff Stadium.

the EC loss was a really bad loss for NB. i think that for NB to break through, they need a big win. perhaps they can get that with steele as one never knows what knight teams shows up. but, down the road, NB needs a break through RB or WR to take them to that next level. they are just that close to getting that last spot into the playoffs one day.

I agree on your entire take b91. NB is very close to once again being a local power. One or two stud skill players could put them in that spot again. As far as beating Steele, they damn sure could or even SC or SV. None of these teams seems to me to be a shoe-in at this point. EC is another one that could upset one of them.
