The battle of 3009 is here. Steele lost a very close hard fought game against a great Judson team. That game really could have gone either way but one team had to win. I wish it would have been the Knights. The Knights have weapons on offense but the D is not ready for prime time.
Clemens had a big come from behind win at Ranger Stadium. As many know Ranger Stadium can be a rather intimidating place. Clemens has a great defense but perhaps not the weapons on offense that the Knights has. So does the Buffs great D prevail or can the Knights light up the scorebaord and get a W?
BTW I dont know who the home team is. When these two play I just look for the Stands with lots of black shirts and no blue and gold. I do know to get there very early unless you have reserved seats.
Steele need this win more than Clemens right now. Clemens already took down one of the big 4 in district. Steele can not afford another loss this week.
My prediction which is a homer pic is the Knights win 28-21.

Steele looked good on offense and they played a great game. Getting back up after a defeat like that will be the character of this team. I like Steele in this battle of 3009 Steele 24 Clemens 16.

My prediction which is a homer pic is the Knights win 28-21. Steele has produced nearly 1050 yards of offense more than Clemens and Steele is averaging nearly 7 yards per carry and 19 yards per catch (Clemens 4.4 per rush and 10.3 per catch). Clemens is having a hard time running the ball and if they rely on the QB to do it all, expect a long night for the Buffs. Clemens is playing better defense statistically and visually are a very aggressive hard hitting team. But Steele has played a much tougher schedule (OC/Judson) with a strength of schedule of 21.7 vs 13.8 for Clemens (SV). You don't beat Steele by throwing 35 times a game, you beat them by running the ball successfully to set up the pass. If Clemens can't find a RB and establish the run game, I'd say Steele rolls with a 31-14 type of game.

He is a great athlete for sure but is not going to beat Steele by himself (see SC vs Steele 2016.....both games).

I think you guys are correct on the running game thing and that's based on seeing the first 3 games. I also think Clemens may have problems containing #17 from Steele. They had problems with the taller, and just as fast, receivers from Reagan. We shall see.

Every team would have problems with number 17. He is one of the best athletes Steele has ever had. I think Caden was better on defense but on offese not so much. I have not heard if Jackson will be back. He is our best receiver. Mcnight and Jones have been picking up the slack. We may not need Jones on offense when Jackson returns. This Lopez kid seems to be a good receiver also. But if you did have Jones split right, Jackson/Mcnight split left and Thomas ready for the short pass how do hope to stop that. You had better get in Wyatts face quickly. But Wyatt is not a skinny kid anymore. He has bulked up. He is also fast and can break away. But he can flat out level most safety's if they get in his way. He seemed to have started the season a little shaky but had his best game ever against Judson. I think he is the type of QB and leader Steele needs. It seams he has become the leader of the team along with JJ I would assume.

i've heard that jackson could be cleared by the game after the bye. if he does return, that would give the coaches a chance to limit jones on offense somewhat but i would definitely offer that look against NB and SV and then throughout the playoffs because, as ntrlfield mentioned, that WR corps would be a nightmare matchup for any defense.
