It’s early September, and that means it’s time for the annual Guadalupe River Bowl. New Braunfels started off on the right foot with a 31-14 win over Alamo Heights. Meanwhile, Seguin took some lumps against a talented Antonian team; score 42-21. The Unicorns carry a 64-37-3 record in the oldest, continuous rivalry in the state.
I’ll take the Unicorns by 7 in this one. The defense shined, limiting Heights to 14 points and less than 100 yards rushing.

NB wins in an easy game for them. Yes the Unicorns should take this one by 2 scores or more. Unless they have a let down. I have noticed both NB and Canyon are usually inconsistent most seasons.

Unicorns won 45-26 and now lead the series 65-37-3.
Unicorns didn’t play as clean as vs Alamo Heights. Lots more penalties and Seguin got in some big plays, which is never good. Unicorns going to have to clean that up if they want a serious chance at the playoffs. The district is more talented this year.
